Mothers, YOU Are Irreplaceable | Mother's Day | Luxe Lashes

Arielle Davis, founder and owner of Luxe Lashes in Richmond, Va., talks about a woman's irreplaceable power in motherhood!

With just over a year of motherhood under my belt, Mother’s Day has taken on a whole new meaning. On top of that, Bella’s first birthday is just around the corner. This year has flown by, beauties. Being a mother has given me a whole new perspective on what it means to walk in my power. For all women, I want to share what motherhood has taught me within the past year…

There’s a quote I heard the other day, “The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world.” Before having Bella, I would never have thought twice about what this quote was really saying. But now? Hold up. Suddenly I see! There is SO much power in being a mother! We give life to the future, raise the future, shape and mold the future, all by being mothers.

Especially as a young mom, there is a fear of a life you will lose as soon as you become a mother. “I won’t be cool and hip…I won’t be free to go out when I want!…my body won’t look as fine.” We think the ability to do what we want, when we want is power. To be independent and autonomous women, THAT’S powerful. Believe me, beauties. I was there!

What I’ve learned? My definition of power was SO limited!

I want to encourage all moms, especially young ones, in their motherhood. I want you all to realize the role only YOU have the power to fill. The way you walk and talk influences the future in a way no man can! So keep that head high, walk with attitude, and talk with confidence. Nothing is being taken away from you, beauties. Instead, you are stepping into a whole other level of influence. It is your time to choose how you are going to use that power!

“A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take.”

-Cardinal Meymillod
