So You Want To Become A Lash Artist...

Luxe Lashes shares a few tips to consider before becoming a lash artist!

Lash extensions have quickly become the new beauty must-have. With such a high a demand, it goes without saying that it’s an attractive service to become certified in! But just because you can, doesn’t mean you should…

I’m always SO excited when a person who’s passionate about beauty expresses interest in becoming a lash artist and I want to do all I can to help them a long in that journey. I also want to provide a reality check for what you’re getting into!

First off, it took my SO long to finally be able to apply client-worthy lashes. When I first started, I did not expect it to take me that long. I would get so frustrated. I would give-up. I would try again. It went on like this for quite sometime, beauties. But I was certain this is what I wanted to do. That drive is what got me through it. I can’t tell you how many people I see go through training, and then give-up because they aren’t perfect at the art right away. For some people, it can take up to a year to perfect the service! You have to resolve that this is without a doubt what you want to do. Without that drive, you won’t last!

In addition to the resolve, here are a few technical aspects to consider. Lash application requires strong eyesight. Having a natural knack for visual spacial ability helps a lot, too! Being able to visualize the spatial relationship between one lash and another goes a long way. Finally, you’re handling small sharp objects! A steady hand is a must.

With all that being said, being a lash artist has been the most rewarding experience for me. I get to enhance a woman’s beauty every day. It’s so fulfilling to see women walk out of Luxe Lashes a little more confidently than when they walked in. Knowing that I was able to do that for them is one of the best feelings in the world! Also, being able to manage my own business has allowed for SO much flexibility in my life. I wouldn’t have it any other way, beauties!
